And even though surrounded by forest, we are centrally located less than 2 hours from NYC. You are driving up a winding country road. It is beautiful- lush green trees frame the road, their leaves swaying in the breeze. The light is incredible, dappled sunshine dancing through the leaves onto the forest ground below. Even the name of the road is perfect- “Hearts Content.”
Then, you turn onto Winter Clove Road, more of the same...trees, houses, old time Catskills hotels...The road is steep and hilly, you keep ascending.
You come to a long gravel drive and take the right onto it. It is framed with birches, moss on both sides. A magnificent rock wall is to your left. You think, "What is this? Is this the right place? This can't be right, we're in the woods." Yes, you are. Welcome to Living Stone.
